The French are very chic.
Coined "pazza" from her Italian boss, this girl from NYC shares her experience of living the Parisian dream!"

It's moving day tomorrow.
I'm a little sad it's the last day in my apartment before I move down the street with my French friend Sophie.
She is very sweet but there is nothing like living alone. At least I found a new place and I am staying in the same neighborhood so I don't have to start all over again.
THANK YOU THANK YOU
Before I left NYC for Paris, I experienced one of the hardest times in my life. I lived out of my suitcase for a few months too long... moving from sublet to sublet or couches of friends (thank you friends!!!)... it was a low period for me. And every time, and I mean every time I had to move from one place to another, NYC would have a snow storm.
Tomorrow morning I will literally wheel my suitcase two blocks down the street and voilà!
And I will live even closer to Au Reve.
Literally, a dream come true.
I can't believe 6 weeks ago I was in NYC getting ready to leave for Paris. I just came across the invite my friend Cadillac made me for my bon voyage party.
It's a classic.
Oh, how I would love Mexican food right now.... ;)
Tonight I will probably throw myself a solo wine and cheese party to celebrate the fact I made it here and have come this far.
We always tend to complain about what we don't have, but I truly have a lot to be thankful for right now.
And I am going to make sure I never lose sight of that.

Saturday in French is Samedi
Today is Samedi.
I woke up a little late today...I guess I needed sleep. Last night I went out and heard live music with some friends. I met the Austin Powers of Paris....and here is his scooter.
I wanna wear that helmut everyday. Is that that weird?
Here is the back of the guy who owns the scooter....
He was talking to the dj and I had to get a picture.
viva la france.
Ha!
What a character...and what a nice guy.
So today after I got myself together I walked around Paris taking pictures.
It's seriously been beautiful everyday I have been here. Lucky!
Here are some shots from today....
This was in the park near the Louve....I felt very peaceful when I saw this statue. I can't believe I have been here 6 weeks already but I still get goose bumps walking around. So much beauty and so much sadness in Paris. Worlds collide.
The clouds were crazy today...my favorite kind...big fluffy and bright.
I was really moved by this guy....you want to cry and hug him at the same time....while having a smile on your face in the process...like I said....Paris is beautifully sad...and sadly beautiful.
Life is beautiful.

des photos et des cours de français
I had my first photo shoot in Paris today....it was great!
The model was from Poland, make-up artist from Hong Kong and 2 girls from Indiana, myself and the stylist.
We shot in the hills of Montmartre.
I have not edited the pictures yet but here is a sneak peak.
I went back, way back to my roots and started experimenting again.
NYC had stuffed my creativity into such a small box that my work wasn't even special to me anymore.
Well, I'm back.
And now I'm French.
The rest of the day is French lessons, more lessons and then a restaurant opening party tonight in the neighborhood with a new friend.
Good thing today's vocabulary is all about food.
And off I go.

Je vis à Paris
I live in Paris!
At least for a while longer. ;)
Whoever recommended that you should go to the same place when moving to a new area to secure friends, jobs, and apartments was definitely correct!
I had 6 days to find a new place and it really happened!
The girl I will be living with speaks terrible English...just as bad as my French...so this will be good for both of us!
First photo shoot tomorrow morning and I already have nervous energy!
But I would be more nervous if I wasn't nervous so it's all good.
More later...gotta focus.

C'est la vie!
Hey, no one said life was easy...but that's what makes it interesting.
I have so much stuff to do!
1. Apartment
So I think I found 3 apartments this week. One day it was a go..the next...gone.
Last night was tough as I was in my place alone thinking what am I going to do????
I can't leave Paris. I'm not finished here yet. And going back to NY on these terms is just not an option.
I was up most of the night worrying and praying for someone to give me an answer or direction.
I woke feeling not as bad as I thought I would from lack of sleep and rushed off to a modeling agency to confirm models for my Thursday shoot.
DONE
I decided to go for a late almond croissant once I got back to my neighborhood. I ran into this girl name Sophie I always see at Au Reve. Her English is not very good so we speak in basic French. I can't believe I can even do this...so exciting...speaking in elementary French and she understands me!
tu comprend?
oui!!!
Long story short, I am looking at an extra room she has in her flat at 5pm my time. I have a great feeling about this. She is very sweet and this would force me to speak French all the time. I would stay in the neighborhood and continue doing the things I came here to do.
2. Photo Shoot
locations
schedule
props
equipment
ideas
I will complete all this over a glass of wine tonight at Au Reve...and to hopefully celebrate my apt.
3. WORK
I have so much work I can barely keep up. This is a good thing.
And off I go.
Why is everyday so beautiful here???
