in my new apartment!
i have some organizing to do still but i lucked out!
my roommate is so sweet and i have been speaking french for the last two days.
my head feels like jell-o but it is the best way for me to learn.
sometimes when i don't know a french word i fill it in with a german or spanish word????
i speak french with an american accent..and now i speak english with a french accent.
oh dear!
last night my roommate and i walked around the neighborhood and then stopped at a french cafe to have a plate of cold cuts and wine. my face feels puffy today but it was worth it. ;)
i slept well last night because my new apartment is on the 7th floor... walk-up.
that's correct....7 floors!
and i thought my baguettes were tight before.
but this is exactly what i prayed for....a french, female roommate with poor english speaking skills.
i feel very very very lucky.
here is the view from the front and back windows.

amazing
and look how close au rĂªve (aka cheers) is now.
yesterday, after carrying two suitcases weighing 50 Kilos each, a computer bag with 3 hard drives, an extra monitor and a camera bag up 7 flights of stairs by myself, i went grocery shopping.
i came back up the stairs with my groceries only to realize my new key did not work. so i went to au reve and they happily put my frozen foods in their fridge and i enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for my roommate to return from her mother's house with higgins.
he is very happy here also.
;)
now i will spend the rest of the afternoon trying to organize stage 2 of my new life in paris.
stay tuned.
i don't feel like capital letters today...
c'est la vie
