Monday when I moved out of my old apartment, my landlady from L.A. checked me out. She arrived with 2 chocolate croissants and we chatted for a bit.
She will in Paris for the next couple of months and we are planning a shoot together as she is a stylist.
Weird...ask and you shall receive!
Tonight she invited me to a bar for English people who blog. HA!
Her blog gets over 1000 visitors a day. Mine is more like 100 but I enjoy thinking and writing about my experiences here.
This event should be interesting! But I happily accepted as this means tonight I will be speaking English. Sometimes I can't muster up the strength to talk to anybody because my brain literally hurts.
Some days I feel confidant speaking French and some days I don't. Today I just don't have the energy as I need to focus on my work...and there is a lot.
I am settling in quite nicely with my new roommate Sophie. She takes Higgins for a walk in the morning and has introduced him to her entire family. We sit around my computer at night and eat cookies and try to communicate with broken English and French and the help of Google translate.
Thank you internet!
Yesterday Sophie and I walked around looking for a drying rack for her clothes and I saw this in a store.
I don't know why someone would want that, but I love bathroom too!
Along the way I also found new grafetti. I keep describing Paris as beautifully sad and sadly beautiful and here is here is the perfect example. These were on the same street.
I guess to sum it all up, living in Paris makes me feel so happy I could cry.
And that's todays blog.
