I finally feel relaxed. I have been trying to buy a train ticket to London for the past three days. Either searching for the lowest fare or having my credit card locked due to security reasons...and then trying to call overseas to answer security questions...urgh....finally I chatted with a specialist online to unlock my card and got a ticket. What a nightmare because everyday the ticket price goes up. I will go to London for one day next Tuesday for my passport and to go on photography appointments.
It is so expensive in London that I will be leaving at 6.45 am and returning at 7pm the same day. At least the train only takes 2.5 hours. Fish and chips...here I come!
Yesterday I worked at the Paris office. The time before I had my own office but yesterday I worked next to two French guys that don't speak English. It was kind of fun though because they both smile and laugh a lot. So even if I did not know what they were saying, I was laughing too. They had the radio on and we kept hearing songs by Phil Collins.
I said to the guys,
La radio joue beaucoup de musique de Phil Collins. Pourquoi?
(the radio plays a lot of music by Phil Collins ...why?)
The French guy responded, He cool.
So I said,
He is Phil Cool-lins.
They laughed at my joke. Good to see my humor is international.
Tonight is Fete de la Musique in Paris. I heard there is music everywhere on the streets. So I think Higgins and I will have to pull out our fanciest scarves and get this party started.
But for now time for work and studying French.
